Knitting The various components (‘panels’) of a Barrie garments can be knitted on different machines - hand intarsia machines, traditional Bentley Cotton machines or the most modern computerised machines. Every individual knitted panel is checked by hand. |
 |
 |
First make-up The yarn in the knitted panels is still ‘greasy’ at this stage, and these panels are linked together to create the basic body ‘shape’. All garments are linked by hand and, again, every linked body shape is checked by hand to ensure that only the best quality products may proceed to the next step in the manufacturing process. |
