Forbidden City

Unique cashmere knitwear designed by internationally renowned fashion designers to complement a landmark exhibition of priceless treasures from the Palace Museum of Beijing, which was being shown outside China for the first time.  Dawson International sponsored this exhibition which was displayed in Edinburgh’s Royal Museum in 2002.

Many of the knitwear pieces were accessorised by very expensive jewellery – for example, the hot-pant outfit worn by Jodie Kidd at the exhibition was studded with diamonds worth more than £100,000.
